Updates, Updates

Today I’m working on the part of my bucket list that says “spend more time at the beach/pool.” So I promise to put up my “Daily 5” and “In Pictures and In Words” posts this weekend. I just wanted to take a second before I race out into the sun to mention a few things.

1. THANK YOU! To everyone who voted for me. All the blogs were awesome and I hope you’ll check out the top 20 list and show everyone some love.

2. I’m in the process of putting together a REALLY BIG back-to-school giveaway, so be on the lookout for that later this month!

3. I just listed two brand new packets perfect for back to school: One full of 8 little readers, the other full of 8 pocket chart stories. The two packets coordinate with each other and cane be used separately or together. The stories focus on color words and the very first sight words we teach in August/September. The themes are: back to school, colors, families, community helpers & apples. Check them out!!!

I’m off to the pool/beach!

  1. Congratulations for winning the Fascination Award! After reading ahead on your blog, I really agree with you that you can start independent reading at the beginning of the school year. I make all kinds of environmental print books for the first few weeks, such as Candy Bar books, Cereal Books, Restaurants I Like, Grocery Store books, etc. Some are free on my blog, if you want to come and take a look at my environmental print post. Have a wonderful time at the beach!
