Fall Leaves

Our Class learned about fall leaves this week. I love teaching about fall because it's one of the things I miss most from living up north.  We practiced reading in an easy reader that you can find HERE.

We learned a song about fall leaves too. This free download can be found HERE, and is sung to the tune of Frere Jacques. I made this song up off the top of my head.

We practiced tracing and cutting out fall leaves, then used glue and glitter to write our names on them.

We made fall trees using our fingertips and paint to make colorful leaves on them.

We made a circle chart of the things we learned about fall:
We even practiced our current math skill - numbers 0-5 with leaves.
We also practiced sorting leaves by wide and narrow.

We read books about fall and why leaves change color. These are great books for fall and they are highly recommended by my class. Click on any book to see it's information.

Next week we are learning all about apples!
